Redmi Note 9 was launched in major regions earlier this year, however, the smartphone didn’t make its way in the home town China. The primary reason was China planned 5G-ready budget devices and therefore, the launch was unofficially canceled. Now, a new leak from a tipster reveals that the Redmi Note 9 Series will debut with 5G capability and better specs in the domestic market.
According to Digital Chat Station via Sudhanshu, Xiaomi will directly bring a Redmi Note 9 5G under the Note 9 series in China. Some of its key specs have also been allegedly touted. The tipster suggests a large display with a 120Hz refresh rate. To recall, the original Note 9 came with the standard 60Hz panel and 4G capability.
It will sport a 48-megapixel primary sensor and Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G SoC. Again, the original global variant has MediaTek Helio G85 chipset but the cameras are the same. Other than this, it is said to house a massive 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging technology.
That’s what we learn from the leak, as of now, nothing is confirmed but we can believe some bits as Xiaomi is all set to launch 5G-ready budget devices for the domestic market and Note 9 5G might boost the plan. Considering the specs, we can expect it to arrive at a lower mid-range price segment.
