We’ve seen plenty of rumors and leaks surrounding the Redmi 10X, especially when it comes to the device’s performance. It’s all set to feature the new MediaTek Dimensity 820 SoC, and it’s looking like it’ll be a pretty good performer according to Xiaomi’s own Lu Weibing.
The General Manager of Redmi points out that the Redmi 10X will feature flagship level performance, though that doesn’t seem to line up with benchmarks. According to benchmarks, the device will have performance more akin to flagships from two generations ago, which is still fairly impressive.

To be more specific, the MediaTek Dimensity 820 will match the performance of the Snapdragon 845 and Exynos 9810. That’s essentially the same as the Samsung Galaxy S9. While it’s not exactly optimal, at the right price point it would still make for an excellent deal. The Redmi devices are always great values for the money, and with MediaTek at the top of their game, it’s all set up perfectly.
The Redmi 10X is set for an official unveiling on May 26, and the launch will be accompanied by the unveiling of a bunch smart TVs. We’re certainly looking forward to it. For more news on Redmi and Xiaomi, stay tuned on Giztop.com.
