Xiaomi’s Mi Band 5 faced an excessive leak spree with its display design leaked, band’s color variants showcased, and even some of its new activity modes were tipped. Now, finally, there’s a leak to top off all the previous leaks. The image spotted on Xiaomi Mall(Chinese translated) reveals the launch date of the Band 5 in China. Let’s take a look.
According to the poster, the Xiaomi Mi Band 5 will debut on June 11 in the Chinese market. The image doesn’t reveal anything else but we do know some of its rumored/expected features and specs.
The Mi Band 5 is expected to sport a larger 1.2-inch touchscreen compared to the smaller screen on the Mi Band 4. It will be a full-screen AMOLED display with narrow bezels. It will be a color display with fast touch response.
The battery cell on the upcoming Band 5 is also expected to be increased offering a better battery life compared to the predecessor. It will also come with a feature that can click images from your phone with a single touch on the band’s screen. It will act as a remote camera which was not possible in the predecessor.
Other than this, the fitness wearable will be more advanced as it is speculated to come with two new features. One of them would be the Menstrual cycle tracking and the much-anticipated Alexa voice assistant.
It will also come with NFC support even for global variants which will make possible one-touch payments even in other regions. For those who don’t know, the feature was earlier limited to the Chinese variant and now it will arrive in the global band.
Other than this, the Mi Band 5 is said to come with six different sports modes and multiple colored bands. It will also feature the heart rate sensor and the SpO2 measurement feature.
