Xiaomi FlipBuds Pro Unboxing: Xiaomi’s First TWS Headset With 40dB Active Noise Cancellation

Xiaomi has launched its first flagship true wireless noise-canceling headset, dubbed the Xiaomi FlipBuds Pro. The company launched the new Flipbuds series in China on May 13 in a bid to mark its foray into the TWS earbuds segment.

The Xiaomi FlipBuds Pro is the first model in the lineup. Loaded with features like ANC (Active Noise Cancellation) and an Airpods Pro-like design, the TWS earbuds target the premium segment of the market.

The Xiaomi FlipBuds Pro clearly draws its inspiration from the Apple AirPods Pro. It adopts the trademark short stem design, coupled with a curved body, which gives it an outward appearance similar to the Apple earbuds.

The Xiaomi FlipBuds Pro, which is currently available for only $149 on Giztop, is housed in a high-gloss all-black body. A nano NCVM coating gives it a mirror finish, as well as a premium look.

Xiaomi FlipBuds Pro ships in a square packaging box, and the black color represents the flagship. In the box, you get the manual, a USB-A to Type-C data cable, along with two additional pairs of earplugs.

Aside from the high-gloss texture, there is a frosted layer on the outside of the earphone handle, which makes it more appealing. Two charging electrodes have been placed inside the bottom of the earphone. The seams of the shell are burr-free.

Xiaomi FlipBuds Pro’s round-shaped charging case is similar to the new Xiaomi logo. The buttons and a Type-C charging port are placed at the bottom. The charging box supports Qi wireless fast charging protocol.

    Using it Outdoor

The earbuds feature 11mm super dynamic speakers, equipped, and pack Qualcomm QCC5151 chip. Moreover, they support aptX Adaptive dynamic codec protocol and Bluetooth 5.2 for connectivity.

The design has passed through 5000+ ear tests, 10000+ user research, and more than 20 rounds of modification to make sure the earbuds offer a comfortable wearing experience.

There are three microphones on the outside, bottom, and inside of the headset. This can be clearly seen in the image below.

According to Xiaomi, the headset uses a high-resilient diaphragm and a centering piece design. It provides a balanced and powerful voice coil vibration system with strong sound control and a sense of reality.

Xiaomi FlipBuds Pro is professionally tuned by the Xiaomi Audio Lab to ensure the studio-level reduction of human HRTF. The acoustic parameters of the earbuds are fine-tuned and the sound quality is compensated.

Moreover, the headset supports low-latency games and audio-visual low-latency functions, which can be implemented in conjunction with a compatible Xiaomi mobile phone.

Xiaomi FlipBuds Pro provides a 5 hours battery life when ANC is enabled, and when active noise reduction is turned off the battery lasts for 7 hours. It also supports the audio sharing function so that you can connect two headsets to the same device.

It has an active noise reduction capability of up to 40dB. You can head straight to this link to get your hands on the Xiaomi FlipBuds Pro for just $149 from Giztop.
