Vivo in April unveiled the Vivo Y50 smartphone in its home town China. The budget smartphone is now arriving in several other regions and now it has landed in India. The Vivo Y50 smartphone’s major highlights are Quad-cameras at the rear, full-screen display, and massive 5,000mAh battery.
The Vivo Y50 smartphone debuted at CNY 1698 or roughly ₹18,300 Indian Rupees in China. In the Indian market, the device is retailing for ₹17,900 or $238/CNY 1685 which is a bit cheaper than the Chinese pricing. It has arrived in two-color variants – Pearl White and Iris Blue. The smartphone will be available for purchase from June 10 via online and offline retail stores.
Vivo Y50 Smartphone Specifications
Vivo Y50 budget smartphone powers the Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 SoC paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Vivo is playing a bit safe here as some contenders have already propelled SD 665 devices under ₹14,000 price bracket and with more RAM and storage, Vivo seems to lure users.
As far as optics are concerned, the smartphone features a quad-camera setup with 13-megapixel primary sensor. It will be adjoined by an 8-megapixel secondary lens, third 2-megapixel portrait camera, and last 2-megapixel macro unit. There is a 16-megapixel selfie camera at the front that is said to provide great bokeh images.
The display on the device is a modern 6.53-inch hole-punch panel with FHD+ resolution. It has a 19.5:9 aspect ratio and narrow bezels. The device is backed up by a massive 5,000mAh battery but sadly does not feature any fast charging support.
The 4G smartphone has the Fingerprint scanner at the rear and software-based Face unlock for security. It runs on Android 10 out of the box and on top of it, there’s the FunTouchOS.
