Vivo on Thursday has officially launched the all-new Vivo Y3s smartphone. It is the latest budget offering for the Vivo fans in the homeland, China. Some of the highlights of the device are a water-drop notch, triple rear cameras, and a big 5,000mAh battery.
The Vivo Y3s has priced at CNY 1,198 yuan(~$180) for the sole 4GB RAM + 128GB storage variant. It comes in Red, Dark Blue, and Sea Breeze finish and will be available across China in most of the retail stores.
The budget smartphone sports a 6.35-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of HD+. It is a water-drop notch panel with a noticeable amount of bezels, especially there is a thicker bottom chin. At the front, there is an 8-megapixel selfie camera and a total of three cameras at the rear. The rear setup goes by a 13-megapixel primary lens, another 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor.
Under the hood, it is powered by the MediaTek Helio P35 SoC paired with 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of eMMC 5.1 storage. It packs a 5,000mAh battery with support for 10W charging. Sadly, the handset runs on the older Android 9 Pie operating system based on FunTouchOS on top of it.
