Vivo V19 India Launch Will Officially Take Place on May 12th

Just like with other smartphone launches, Vivo also ended up delaying its Vivo V19 launch event quite some time. With non-essentials restrictions lifted in India, the Chinese smartphone maker is finally launching its upcoming smartphone.

Vivo V19 will see its official unveiling on May 12th this coming Tuesday, which is right around the corner. Initially, the device was supposed to launch on March 26 which then got delayed numerous times due to the recent COVID-19 outbreak.

As revealed on the official product page, the V19 features a 6.44″ Super AMOLED display that pushes a Full HD+ resolution. It runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 processor with 8GB RAM and 128GB of storage that’s expandable via microSD.

In the camera department, it features a quad-camera setup at the rear. It consists of a 48MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a 2MP depth sensor and a 2MP macro shooter. For selfies, the front gets a 32MP + 8MP dual-camera setup.

The device comes with a rather large 4,500mAh battery that charges via USB-C. Out of the box, it comes with a 33W fast charger. Out of the box, it runs on Android 10 with FunTouch OS 10 skin on top.

The device is expected to arrive with a price-tag of INR 24,990 ($331). It’s also worth noting that the Vivo V17 came with a price tag of INR 22,990 ($304), so while it’s not too far off, it’s still been raised slightly higher.
