Vivo’s camera-centric Vivo S7 5G has officially arrived at an event in China. The smartphone comes with an insane 44MP + 8MP dual-selfie camera setup and is fueled by a mid-range Snapdragon chipset. Let’s take a look.
The Vivo S7 is a 5G smartphone that starts at CNY 2,799(~$400) for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant and CNY 3,098(~$443) for the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant. It will go on sale via JD.com, Tmall, and Vivo stores in the country.

Let’s start with its major highlight which is the dual-selfie camera. The smartphone focuses on the selfie camera and it has a whopping 44-megapixel primary lens and an 8-megapixel secondary lens. The selfie setup is placed in the wide notch at the top. The smartphone has a 6.44-inch AMOLED display with an FHD+ resolution and HDR screen. It has a 20:9 aspect ratio with a 91.2 percent screen-to-body ratio.
The smartphone’s rear has a rectangular camera module flaunting a triple camera system. It has a 64-megapixel main lens, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. Vivo claims that the camera can shoot RAW pictures and comes with a dedicated Vlog mode.
Under the roof, the Vivo S7 5G fuels the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G chipset coupled with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of built-in storage. It houses a 4,400mAh non-removable battery with 33W rapid charging support that is said to juice up the device instantly. The smartphone has an in-display fingerprint scanner and a Face-unlock option for added security.
