We’ve been anticipating the upcoming Realme ‘Blade Runner’ gaming phone that’s launching on May 25, but now the company has officially dubbed the device as the Realme X50 Pro Player Edition on Weibo. This answers a few questions we had, but brings up a few more.
For starters, this is confirmation that the device isn’t a fully new one, but rather just a spin on the existing Realme X50 Pro. We already suspected this thanks to the similarities between the teased design and the Realme X50, but it’s good to know for sure. Now what we want to find out is what makes them different.
Realme haven’t really given us any extra details to work with. A lot of the specifications on the Realme X50 Pro are already extremely top of the line specs, so we’re expecting the Pro Player Edition to feature the highest configurations. This would include the Snapdragon 865 SoC, 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.
We’re also expecting to see a bunch of software features that will boost the device’s gaming performance higher than the standard Realme X50 Pro’s capabilities. Outside of that, we’ll have to wait and see for the device’s launch on May 25.
May 25 is looking to be a fairly busy day for Realme. On top of the aforementioned Realme X50 Pro Player Edition, we’re also going to see the possible launch of the Realme Watch. Other rumored items are a new pair of TWS earphones, and two new Realme X3 devices.
