Last month, the Tecno Pova smartphone made it to the Chinese manufacturer Tecno’s official website. The listing revealed plenty of its details but the launch date was unknown. Just recently, the phone was unwrapped in a few markets but the Indian arrival date was again missing. Now, Flipkart’s e-commerce giant has created a landing page for the Pova smartphone revealing its Indian unveiling date and some of its specs.
Tecno Pova Launch Date and Pricing
According to the landing page, the Tecno Pova will take wraps off on December 4 in the Indian region. It won’t be an online live event or offline event but a direct online announcement via Flipkart. Unfortunately, the pricing is not revealed, therefore, we expect it to be out tomorrow at 12 PM.
Tecno Pova was launched for P6,999(₹10,700/$145) in the Philippines which suggests that the Indian pricing will be somewhere near.
Specifications and Highlights
The Tecno Pova packs a large 6.8-inch display with a HD+(720 x 1640 pixels) resolution. The device sports a punch-hole panel and has an aspect ratio of 20.5:9. It holds an 8-megapixel single front camera for selfie shots.
Moving to the rear, the smartphone has a rectangular module placed vertically. It has a 13-megapixel + 2-megapixel + 2-megapixel triple camera system. It has an LED flash and Pova branding below the lenses.
Under the hood, the budget smartphone withdraws power from the MediaTek Helio G80 chipset paired with 6GB of RAM. There are two variants launched globally, a 64GB and a 128GB variant. Just as the bigger battery trend, this one too packs a solid 6,000mAh battery. The battery is backed by an 18W fast charging support. It also features a rear-facing fingerprint scanner.
The phone runs on Android 10 and has Tecno’s custom HiOS 7 on top of it. The dual-SIM phone supports only 4G connectivity and has a 3.5mm jack.
