Sony on Wednesday launched a new mid-range smartphone dubbed Xperia 10 III in the market. The smartphone was launched alongside the high-end Xperia 1 III and Xperia 5 III. The all-new Sony Xperia 10 III is the company’s first 5G smartphone in the mid-range segment with highlights like an OLED display, triple rear cameras, and a big battery.
The Sony Xperia 10 III comes with the standard Sony design with a taller design featuring a 6-inch compact display with a 21:9 aspect ratio. It is an HDR-supported OLED panel with a noticeable amount of bezels at the top and bottom. Even though the other display specs are high-end, Sony has stuck to the standard 60Hz refresh rate. The screen has a protection of Corning Gorilla Glass 6.
Sony has stacked a pretty good camera system on the Xperia 10 III. It has got a triple rear camera system with a 12-megapixel primary lens, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and lastly an 8-megapixel telephoto lens.
Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 690 octa-core chipset is what drives the smartphone it is also the main reason for the device to have 5G connectivity. The company has stacked a 4,500mAh battery inside the handset which can be juiced up by the USB Type-C port present at the bottom.
The smartphone runs on Android 11 out of the box and has Sony’s custom skin on top of it. It has IP65/68 water-resistant rating for resisting those accidental water droplets.
Sony has silently unveiled the handset, therefore, there are no pricing and availability details as of now. As for colors, the 5G handset comes in multiple colors – Black, White, Blue, and Pink.
