Sony unveiled the Xperia 1 II back in February this year with a flagship processor, taller display, and triple rear cameras. When the smartphone initially arrived it came in only 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of onboard storage. Now, Sony is all set to add a new 12GB of RAM variant in its home-town Japan.
Sony has officially announced that the Xperia 1 II will be getting a new higher RAM and storage configuration that will come with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. Additionally, it is said to be available in a new color variant.
There are scarce details on the new variant but it was spotted on various Japanese documents that revealed it to carry the model number XQ-AT42. It will be a dual-SIM device that will be available in a new Frosted Black color variant. The Frosted Black will be Matte and non-reflective as compared to Sony’s standard Glossy Black color variant. It will also be available in Purple and White color variants.
Thanks to a report online that shared some hands-on images of the new color variant and also compared with the Glossy Black color. It is said to come at a price tag of JPY 124,000(roughly $1,170) and will be available in the month of October.
