Japanese tech giant Sharp has been manufacturing several gadgets including the smartphones in its home-town Japan. Now, the company seems to take it further with global smartphone launches. Today, Sharp has finally made a move in the global market by launching the Sharp Aquos R5G smartphone in Taiwan.
The Sharp Aquos R5G smartphone is priced at NT$ 34,990 or 8395 Yuan for the sole variant with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The device will go up for sale on July 6 in White and Black color variants.
Sharp Aquos R5G Specifications
The Aquos R5G is a flagship handset from Sharp that sports a 6.5-inch IPS panel with a Quad-HD+ resolution. It is a hole-punch display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It has a modern 19.8:9 aspect ratio with narrow bezels.
It has a clean rear design with a vertical camera module holding the four cameras. It has a 12-megapixel primary sensor, another 48-megapixel ultra-wide lens, a third 12-megapixel telephoto lens, and the last one is a ToF sensor. There is a single camera at the top center for selfies.
Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 865 SoC powers the device and is bundled with 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.0 internal storage. It had a 3,730mAh battery that can be juiced up via a USB Type-C port. It has IP68 certification and the fingerprint scanner is placed at the front bottom.
