Samsung took the wraps off the Galaxy Tab A7, Galaxy Fit2, and the Wireless Charger Trio during its recently concluded Life Unstoppable virtual event.
The Wireless Charger Trio alludes to a new wireless charger imitates the concept of Apple’s AirPower Charging Mat. It is a single product that can wireless charge watches, earbuds, and phones at the same time.
The South Korean tech giant did not divulge details about the charger at the event, but the company’s Germany and Korea’s store pages have already listed the Wireless Charging Trio. Shreds of the latest information about the charging pad have been acquired by GSM Arena.
The Charger Trio features six charging coils and is capable of charging Samsung phones up to 9W. It will support other devices at up to 5W and offer 7.5W charging for Apple products.
Aside from that, the Charger Trio comes with built-in LED indicators that allow you to monitor their charging status. Weighing in at just 320 grams, the charger’s dimensions are 240 x 86 x 15.5 mm.
Furthermore, it will be available in white or black and will support a myriad of Samsung flagships including the Z series, Fold, S, and Note, along with Galaxy Z, Fold2, and the Galaxy S6. It will also support the Galaxy Buds(+), Galaxy Buds Live, and will also come in handy for wirelessly charging Galaxy Watch models.
The listing suggests that smartphones can still recharge with cases up to 3mm thick, depending on the material. If the case triggers a charger heat up, it will switch to a lower wattage and reduce the charging speed. Details about its availability are still few and far between.
While nothing is set in stone yet, Samsung is reportedly gearing up to reveal the details soon. Stay tuned in here for more updates!
