Samsung Galaxy S20 Fan Edition: All Expected and Rumored Specs!

    Ever since the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S20 series, the Galaxy S20 Fan Edition leaks are floating in the rumor mill. The smartphone’s launch date is yet to be known but some of its specs, pricing, and renders have been surfaced online. Here are all the rumored and expected specifications of the upcoming S20 FE smartphone.

    Design and Looks

    The Galaxy S20 Fan Edition leaks were just on paper and never appeared in an image. But just today, the leakster Evan Blass has shared an image that showcases the possible design of the smartphone. As expected, the front look quite similar to the Samsung Galaxy S20 +. It has a similar punch-hole panel with a bit thicker bezels as compared to the Galaxy S20+. The Galaxy S20+ has almost no side bezels and very thin forehead and chin but the Galaxy S20 Fan Edition bezels are quite protruded. The smartphone also has a power button and volume rocker on the right-side.

    Hardware, Software, and Cameras

    Moving to the specs, the Fan Edition(SM-G781B) is said to power the same chipset as the original S20 series. According to the Geekbench listing, the smartphone will come powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 octa-core SoC. It will be paired with a base 6GB of RAM and run on Android 10. The smartphone scored 737 single-core points and 2619 multi-core points on the GeekBench 5.

    According to the 3C certification, the smartphone will draw juice from the 4,370mAh battery. The typical capacity should be 4,500mAh. Both the 4G and the 5G variant will come with the said capacity and are expected to feature some sort of fast charging support. It will feature a 120Hz refresh rate panel and is said to boast triple rear cameras. Allegedly, the device is rumored to have a 32-megapixel single selfie camera setup and a 12-megapixel + 12-megapixel + 8-megapixel triple rear camera setup.

    Pricing, Colors, and Availability

    Moving to the pricing, the cost should be taken with a grain of salt as there isn’t any official confirmation. A Korean website suggested that the Galaxy S20 Fan Edition could cost 900,000 Korean Won(~$750 US Dollars). We aren’t sure if there will be multiple variants but the one here could be for the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant. The smartphone is touted to arrive in attractive colorways such as Orange, Green, Red, and White.

    The smartphone’s launch date is yet to be confirmed but it is expected to debut in the next couple of months.
