It’s been a while since we heard from any of the entry-level M-series devices. Today, a new leak popped online which suggests that the company is working on a budget phone which could, in turn, be a rebranded version of another A-series device.
Samsung Galaxy M02s Listing, Expected Specifications, and Pricing
The Google Play listing has a new Samsung phone in its database with model number SM-M025F. The smartphone’s actual name will be the Galaxy M02s and it also has a codename that goes by ‘a02q’. Sadly, there aren’t any details about its specifications but the codename makes us believe that it will be the rebranded version of the already existing Samsung Galaxy A02s.
If it turns out to be a rebranded version of the Galaxy A02s then we can expect it to have a large 6.5-inch Infinity-V display. It will be an HD+ resolution panel with a noticeable amount of bezels.
Going by the Galaxy A02s’ specs, the Galaxy M02s may power the Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 entry-level chipset. The A02s has 3gigs of RAM and 32gigs of internal storage, therefore, the upcoming M02s should also have the same variant. In terms of the cameras, the device is expected to feature a triple rear camera system led by a 13-megapixel primary lens and accompanied by two 2-megapixel units. These sensors could be for macro and depth shots.
Other than this, the phone may have a 5,000mAh chunky battery with 10W fast charging support. It should on Samsung’s One UI based on Android 10 out of the box. Aside from the specifications, the device may launch at a budget price point. As the existing Galaxy A02s is priced at $182(converted) for the sole 3GB + 32GB variant the Galaxy M02s might also land at a similar price range.
