Earlier reports suggested that Samsung is planning to launch a camera-centric Galaxy F series in India, and on Sept. 19, the Korean tech giant posted a teaser image on social media, confirming the existence of a new series.
The teaser image was accompanied by the caption, “The new #GalaxyF will definitely leave a mark on you. Stay tuned to go #FullOn.” The company refrained from divulging details about the Galaxy F series at the time, but the rumor mill indicated that the Galaxy F F41 will be the first phone in the series to be made available to the public.
On Tuesday, Indian e-commerce company Flipkart revealed that the Galaxy F41 will be unveiled on Oct. 8 at 5:30 PM IST (12 PM UTC) as the first device in the lineup. Flipkart’s promo page for the Galaxy F41 gives us a brief glimpse of the phone and confirms a few specs including a 6,000 mAh battery, fingerprint reader, triple rear cameras, and sAMOLED Infinity-U display.
While the rest of the Galaxy F41 specs haven’t been officially confirmed, the phone’s user manual suggests that it will come with dual speakers, and one of the cameras in the triple camera setup will boast an ultrawide angle lens.
Aside from that, the Galaxy F41 was spotted on Geekbench with an Exynos 9611 SoC and 6GB RAM. There is hearsay that it is simply rebranded Galaxy M31, available in three color options and two storage variants.
It is worth mentioning here that Galaxy M31 houses four cameras at the back, while the F41 has three. More details about the Samsung Galaxy F41 are likely to surface online ahead of the phone’s announcement.
Some leaks suggest Samsung will be using Exynos 9611 for the Galaxy F41. Moreover, the phone is likely to run on Android 10 out of the box, and retain the headphone jack.
