Truly wireless earbuds are slated to receive upgrades on various fronts, including the design. Samsung is the latest company to enhance its truly wireless offering.
Samsung is likely to take the wraps off pair of new true wireless earbuds during its hotly-anticipated Unpacked event on Aug. 5. The bean-shaped Galaxy Buds Live has been subject to multiple leaks, and the rumor mill has been churning out all sorts of speculations around it as well.
It is highly unlikely that the Galaxy Buds Live would replace the Galaxy Buds+, but there is a possibility that they would be sold alongside those. The Buds Live is the South Korean company’s first truly wireless pair to adopt ANC, also known as noise cancellation.
This feature would bid the Galaxy Buds Live directly against notable competitors including Apple’s well-received AirPods Pro, which also comes with ANC. Posted by Twitter user WalkingCat, the video that looks like an official promo was first spotted on Twitter.
The video confirms that the Buds Live will have ANC, although it does not directly mention it. Moreover, the video suggests they will be made available in three eye-catching colors and gives us a brief glimpse of the buds’ awe-inspiring design.
Previously surfaced reports indicated that new truly wireless earbuds from Samsung will be dubbed Samsung Galaxy Beans, but the new video suggests they will bear the Galaxy Buds Live moniker, instead. Aside from revealing the design and color, the images show how the new wireless earbuds will look when worn. The video ends with a tagline that reads, “keep the noise out. Let the sound in.” Sporting a bean-shaped design, the earbuds seems to fit perfectly inside the ear. It is worth noting that they do not have silicone tops or an in-ear seal, which makes us wonder how Samsung managed to integrate noise cancellation feature into the earbuds, and if ANC is even present.
