Samsung is expected to launch its Galaxy A-series successors in the coming months. One of such Galaxy A-series phones dubbed Samsung Galaxy A22 has been in the news lately. Rumors are rife that the company will launch two models of the phone, A22 4G and A22 5G. The latter made its presence on Geekbench recently with specs like Dimensity 700 and 6GB of RAM. Now, the 4G variant of the device has appeared on the Geekbench benchmarking portal.
Samsung Galaxy A22 4G Geekbench Listing and Expected Specs
According to the listing, the smartphone scored 293 single-core points and 1247 multi-core points on the Geekbench 5. The smartphone seems to be yet another MediaTek powered phone as it will fuel the MediaTek Helio G80 SoC.
It is paired with 6GB of RAM and is expected to have 128GB of internal storage. The smartphone runs on Android 11 out of the box will run Samsung’s OneUI on top of it.
Other than this, the phone was also spotted in renders online which revealed its front and back design. The device will feature a 6.4-inch dew-drop notch display at the front with thin bezels. It will be an FHD+ AMOLED panel that will have a 13MP selfie camera up front. At the rear, the phone boasts a square camera module, almost the same as the Galaxy A12 4G smartphone. The module will carry a 48MP primary camera, a 5MP secondary lens, and two 2MP lenses.
The phone was also spotted on FCC which confirmed its 15W fast charging speed. This fast charging technology will be supported by the 5,000mAh battery.
As of now, there’s nothing else to learn but as the launch nears, we can expect more leaks on the phone. For those who are unaware, the phone is expected to launch next month in a few selected markets.
