A few days back, Royale announced the FlexPai 2 foldable phone in China with a large flexible OLED panel and the flagship Snapdragon 865 SoC. The foldable phone went on pre-orders recently and as expected the phone has got impressive 150,000 reservations in a few minutes of its listing.
FlexPai 2 is priced at CNY 9,988(~$1463) for the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant and CNY 11,588(~$1707) for the 12GB RAM + 512GB storage variant. If we compare it to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2’s CNY 16,999(~$2,505) pricing then it’s way cheaper. Most of the foldable phones go way above the $1500 price tag for the base configuration but the FlexPad 2 really stands right under that with the latest flagship specs. Said that let’s take a look at the specs of the phone.

The Royale FlexPai 2 comes with a 7.8-inch flexible OLED display with a 1920 x 1440 pixels resolution for the 4:3 unfolded aspect ratio and 1440 x 810 when folded. The device has a 3rd generation Cicada Wing panel with Stepless 3S Hinge that has 180-degree flex. It has a 64MP + 16MP + 8MP triple camera setup with last 32MP sensor for selfies.
It comes powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. It houses a 4,450mAh battery with 18W fast charging support. The foldable phone runs on Android 10 and has Royale’s custom water 2.0 on top of it. It is available in three colors – Cosmic Gray, Midnight Black, and Sunrise Gold.
