Xiaomi was expected to launch the Redmi Note 9 5G series soon in the Chinese market with a powerful camera sensor and the latest Mediatek and Snapdragon SoCs. Now ahead of its official announcement a Chinese leaker has shared the launch date of the new 5G smartphone series.
According to the leaker, the Redmi Note 9 5G series will debut on November 26 in China. The launch is scheduled for 8 pm China time. Xiaomi has not confirmed any specs of the smartphone series but leaks have it that the vanilla Redmi Note 9 5G will fuel the MediaTek Dimensity 800U SoC and the Note 9 5G will power the Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G SoC.

The Duo will be 5G enabled and the Pro is expected to sport a 120hz refresh rate panel whereas the non-pro may come with a standard panel. There will also be a whopping 108MP Samsung HM2 primary lens on the Pro model backed by multiple camera lenses. There are no specific details regarding the cameras of the vanilla smartphone.
With that said the rest of the specs are also yet to be affirmed. If we take a look at the tipped pricing, the Note 9 5G is said to start at CNY 1000($151) and the Pro model is touted to retail for CNY 1500($228). Do take the pricing with a pinch of salt as it is yet to be confirmed.
