Redmi Note 8 was launched last year in the Indian market for a price of ₹9,999(~$133) but just a few months of its launch, the price of the smartphone was increased to by ₹2000(~$27). Now, the smartphone’s price has increased even further.
The Redmi Note 8 has officially gotten a price hike of ₹500 in the country. Starting today, the device will go on sale for ₹12,500(~$166) for the base model with 4GB RAM + 128GB internal storage. Interestingly, the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant’s price is still the same that is ₹14,500(~$193). For those who are unaware, the prices of all the models were increased a few months back and the 6GB/128GB variant’s $193 pricing is after the earlier price hike.
Other than this, the smartphone is a mid-range handset with 4G connectivity. It powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 SoC with 4,000mAh. It has a 6.3-inch notch display with an FHD+ panel. The smartphone equips a 48MP Quad camera and a single front-facing camera. It runs on MIUI 12 based on Android 10 out of the box.
