Redmi Note 9 series was launched earlier this year and it includes three solid budget devices, the Redmi Note 9, Redmi Note 9 Pro, and Redmi Note 9 Pro max. The company is still launching Note 9 in some other markets but in this global launch spree, we have a leak for the upcoming Redmi Note 10.
The Redmi Note 10 seems to have appeared on the AI Benchmark website. It was tipped to be the upcoming Note smartphone from Xiaomi. It shows the result and it stands second. Interestingly, Note 10 has Dimensity 820 5G chipset paired with 8GB of RAM. It runs on the latest Android 10 OS.
It is quite early for the successor of Note 9 to appear but looks like Xiaomi is on it. It is noteworthy that the Redmi 10X 5G series that launched in China has the same chipset as the just spotted Note 10. This is an assumption but we expect that the Redmi Note 10 series will be a global model of the Redmi 10X 5G series or it could replace Note 9 in China, considering that Note 9 didn’t initially launch in China.
Notably, Note 10 will come with full-fledged 5G support. With companies like OnePlus launching budget 5G smartphones, other brands like Redmi seem to work on a global 5G device. It could land in most of the global markets including major markets like India or just be a China-only device. We’ll keep for the company to break the silence.
