Redmi has scheduled the upcoming gaming smartphone for April 27 in China. The Redmi K40 Game Enhanced Edition has been in the news lately and as the launch gets closer, we are seeing some aggressive teases from the company. Just like that, the firm has now shared a video showcasing the shoulder buttons of the smartphone. Redmi has also revealed the AnTuTu scores of the handset.
First a fall, the video flaunts the smartphone in all its glory. The Redmi K40 Game Enhanced Edition can be seen in multiple colors from the rear. It reveals its design and the camera module. The smartphone will have a metallic finish on the sides and the rear is expected to be made out of glass. It has a few lines going through the edges enhancing its looks.
The rear cameras will be placed vertically feature three sensors. The module has metallic edges and it slightly protruded. The smartphone also has the Redmi branding at the bottom right-hand side. Coming to the major highlight of the video, the shoulder buttons shown in every angles possible. It has two slider shoulder triggers at the top and bottom on the right side. These buttons are touted to provide a sound similar to a mechanical keyboard.
Redmi claims that the shoulder buttons are were tested multiple times and can work more than 1.5 million times. The whole video focuses on the durability of shoulder buttons. One noticeable thing was colors. As said above, we get to see the smartphone in different colors mainly Silver, White, and Grey.
Other than this, Redmi also teased the AnTuTu scores of the K40 Game Enhanced Edition. The company has publically confirmed that the smartphone fuels the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chipset that is based on 6nm process. The smartphone has scored whopping 724,495 points on AnTuTu version 9.
These scores were expected considering the internals of the smartphone. As learned from the previous leaks, the smartphone will feature a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with an FHD+ resolution. It will go beyond the set limit of 120Hz offering a 144Hz refresh rate panel.
The device will boast 64MP triple rear cameras and a single front-facing camera. As it will be a gaming phone, it is expected to have some cooling system and of course, the triggers are there. It will run on Android 11 out of the box with MIUI 12.5 on top of it.
Rumors are also rife that Redmi might as well launch the Standard Edition of the smartphone alongside the Game Enhanced Edition at the event. Well, as there is no official confirmation, it remains to be seen if it happens.
