Redmi K40 5G Tipped To Board The Dimensity 1000+ SoC Instead Of the Rumored Snapdragon 775

    Earlier, a report suggested that the upcoming Redmi K40 5G from Xiaomi will board a Snapdragon 700-series SoC. Now, a new tip from the popular tipster Digital Chat Station, the upcoming K40 5G will power a MediaTek SoC. He also toutes some battery details of the smartphone. Let’s take a look at the details.

    According to the tipster, the Redmi K40 5G will power the MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ SoC instead of earlier rumored Snapdragon 775 SoC(unannounced). It is also said to feature a 120Hz fast refresh rate LCD panel. The current Redmi K30 comes with a 60Hz refresh rate display and a 120Hz panel will be a huge jump.

    Furthermore, he also suggests that the smartphone will be backed up by a 4,500mAh battery. In addition, the past 3C listing revealed a 5G-enabled Xiaomi device with 33W fast charging, we expect it to be the upcoming K40.

    Other than this, the smartphone was spotted on MIIT certification that confirmed 5G support. Xiaomi has already planned to pile-up the budget segment with 5G handsets and the K40 5G will be the upcoming addition to it.
