Xiaomi has finally launched the Redmi K30 Ultra smartphone at its 10th-anniversary event held in China. The K30 Ultra comes with upgrades and improvements over the other Redmi K30 devices offering an AMOLED panel instead of LCD and MediaTek’s most powerful Dimensity-series chipset.
The Redmi K30 Ultra starts at CNY 1,999(~$287) for the 6GB + 128GB variant, CNY 2,199(~$316) for the 8GB + 128GB variant, CNY 2,499(~$359) for the 8GB + 256GB variant, and CNY 2,699(~$388) for the 8GB RAM + 512GB variant.

It comes in three colorways – Midnight Black, Moonlight White, and Mint Green. The smartphone will go on sale from August 14 via Xiaomi official website, Mi store, and Giztop store.

The Redmi K30 Ultra comes with a similar design to the other Redmi K30 smartphones. It has a full-screen display, circular rear camera module, and a clean rear look. However, the display here is far better than the siblings. The smartphone sports a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with an FHD+ resolution. It is a 120Hz refresh rate panel which first for any Redmi K-series device.

It supports HDR10+ certification and has up to 240Hz touch sampling rate. The smartphone has a crazy 1,200 nits of brightness and comes 92.7 percent screen-to-body ratio. It has a contrast ratio of 5,000,000:1 and features DCI-3 color gamut.
As of cameras, the device features a quad-camera setup at the rear with a circular module. It is a ring-shaped setup similar to that of its siblings. The rear setup consists of a 64-megapixel primary camera, 13-megapixel ultra-wide lens, a 5-megapixel macro sensor, and a 20-megapixel depth-sensing unit. The rear camera comes with a special 3MIC Audio Zoom feature that lets users record the sound in-depth after zooming on the object. At the front, the smartphone boasts a single camera setup which is said to be sufficiently wide.

Under the roof, the smartphone fuels MediaTek’s Dimensity 1000+ chipset that comes on a 7nm process and has a total of 8-cores. It is a 5G-enabled SoC and that is what makes the K30 Ultra support 5G SIMs. There are dual-SIM slots on the device also it comes with NFC and IR Blaster feature. It has a 4,500mAh battery with 33W fast charging technology that is claimed to juice up the device almost instantly.
