    Redmi K30 Ultra vs Realme X7 Pro: The Clash Of Two Dimensity 1000+ Phones

    Back in May MediaTek announced its most powerful Dimensity series chipset, the MediaTek Dimensity 1000+. The chipset scores an average of over 500,000 AnTuTu points and Over 12,000 multi-core GeekBench 4 points. With such scores, the Dimensity 1000+ is easily one of the best chipsets that will provide flagship-level experience in the budget. Two of the Chinese tech giants – Xiaomi and Realme are always up with something similar for the masses. Just like that, these giants launched their own Dimensity 1000+ fueled smartphones a few months back dubbed Xiaomi Redmi K30 Ultra and Realme X7 Pro. Both coming at a similar price range, it is daunting to choose any one of these. In this piece, we will list down the full specifications of the smartphones and compare them by drawing major differences.     Redmi K30 Ultra Full Specifications

    Launched back in August 2020, the Redmi K30 Ultra flaunts a full-screen design with thinner rims. Redmi claimes that the device has a screen-to-body ratio of 87.2%. The smartphone sports a large 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a Full-HD+ resolution. It has a 120Hz screen refresh rate with and the panel supports HDR10+ content. It has a 20:9 aspect ratio and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The screen has 500 nits of brightness and 395 PPI pixel density.

    Moving to the cameras, the smartphone has a pop-up selfie lens that slides up from the top left side. It is a 20-megapixel snapper for capturing selfie portraits and recording video at full-HD resolution. The front camera is claimed to have HDR support and the max fps for the video is 30 frames per second. There is a quad-rear camera setup placed in a circular ring-like module. It holds a 64-megapixel Sony IMX682 primary lens with f/1.9 aperture, a 13-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens with f/2.4 aperture, a third 5-megapixel telephoto unit with 50mm focal length, and last 2-megapixel depth sensor. The rear camera can shoot up to 4k 30fps video and 1080p slow-motion video at up to 960fps. The rear camera supports gyroscope Electronic Image Stabilization for stable handled videos.

    Redmi K30 Ultra

    Inside the handset is the Dimensity 1000+ chipset. It is a 7nm octa-core chip that comes with a Mali-G77 MC9 GPU. In case you are living under a rock, the Dimensity 1000+ SoC is not a mid-range SoC, it is a flagship-level chipset just slightly weaker than this year’s flagship Snapdragon 865 chipset. Getting to the phone, it has 6GB, 8GB of RAM, and 128GB, 256GB, 512GB of expandable onboard storage.

    The smartphone is backed up by a 4,500mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. The fast-charging adapter is bundled with the phone, therefore you don’t have to look for any fast charging adapter. According to Redmi, the phone will charge from 0% to 100% in just 1 hour.

    It has an in-display fingerprint scanner and supports Face unlock for added security. It is a 5G handset with a Dual-SIM tray. The device runs on Android 10 out of the box with MIUI 12 on top of it. It has Bluetooth v5.1 and Wi-Fi 6 support. Just like other Redmi phones, the Redmi K30 Ultra also has an IR Blaster.

    Realme X7 Pro 5G Full Specifications

    Making its debut in September 2020, the Realme X7 Pro 5G comes with a taller design and cleaner design. It rocks a 6.55-inch punch-hole AMOLED display with a Full-HD+ resolution. The screen has a 120Hz refresh rate and an aspect ratio of 20:9 aspect ratio. It has HDR10+ support and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It has 1200 nits of brightness and 402 PPI pixel density.

    As for cameras, the handset has a single 32-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies. It supports High-Dynamic Range and can shoot 1080 videos at 30fps. It has a quadruple-camera system at the rear with a 64-megapixel Sony IMX686 primary lens. It is joined by an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens with an aperture of f/2.3, a third 2-megapixel macro lens, and lastly a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The device can shoot 4k videos at up to 60fps and 1080p slow-mo videos at 240fps. It has gyroscope-based Electronic Image Stabilization for stable handled videos.

    Realme X7 Pro

    At the helm, it packs the Dimensity 1000+ SoC rocking Mali-G77 MC9 GPU. It is based on the 7nm process and it is paired with 6GB, 8GB RAM, and 128GB, 256GB of non-expandable internal storage.

    In terms of the battery, the 5G handset is backed up by a 4,500mAh battery with whopping 65W fast charging support. Realme claims that the device will go from 0% to 100% in just 35 minutes. It has an in-display fingerprint scanner and supports Face unlock for added security. It is a Dual-SIM phone running Realme UI out of the box based on Android 10. It has Bluetooth v5.0 and Wi-Fi 6 support.

    For the asking price, both phones offer great features with slightly better on-paper cameras and fast charging support on the Realme X7 Pro, and, better comms and added features(IR Blaster, 960fps Slow-mo, Bluetooth connectivity, and Telephoto lens) on the Redmi K30 Ultra.

    Currently, the Redmi K30 Ultra is available for $369 and the Realme X7 Pro is listed for $399 on the Giztop Shop. The choice becomes easy, if you want a telephoto lens and those extra added features for a lesser price go with the K30 Ultra, and if you are tempted for the super Fast charging and brighter display go with the X7 Pro.
