Redmi AX5 Router Internals Shared on Weibo

    Xiaomi‘s latest router is the Redmi AX5 Router, and the company has begun showing off the internals of the device. Liu Xinyu, general manager of the Xiaomi Group’s Intelligent Hardware Department, has released the motherboard photos of the device.

    According to Liu Xinyu, the router utilizes Qualcomm’s 5-core enterprise chip, comprised of a 4-core CPU + single-core NPU, built on a 14nm process. It has 4 independent signal amplifiers for strong reception, and there’s 256MB of storage.

    According to Redmi, the AX5 Router can download a high-definition movie in 8 seconds, and download speeds can theoretically hit 1775Mbps. In addition, the router is also already well optimized for smart home ecosystems and can stably connect with up to 128 devices.
