Redmi AirDots 3 With Upgraded Functions, Bluetooth 5.2, aptX Adaptive Decoding Support Now Available For 199 Yuan

On Feb. 25, Xiaomi unveiled the Redmi K40 flagship smartphone in China, along with a couple of other products including the RedmiBook Pro notebook and the Redmi AirDots 3 TWS earbuds, which are currently available for $36.99 on Giztop.

The Redmi AirDots 3 True Wireless Stereo Bluetooth headset retains nearly the same design as last year’s Redmi AirDots 2. However, there are some improvements as far as functions are concerned.

A discussion in the Douban Life Group revealed that an 80-year-old woman without subsistence allowance set up a stall in the subway station, hoping to make some money. This makes a lot of sense considering that the highly convenient true wireless Bluetooth headsets have become an inseparable part of young people’s lives.

The Redmi AirDots series is extremely popular among music lovers and even those who aren’t willing to spend a lot of money on TWS headsets since it costs less than 100 yuan. The price for the recently released Redmi AirDots 3 has almost doubled to 199 yuan, but this is a result of several upgrades.

The blue-tinted packaging box is slightly different since it does not have a large white area as before. Moreover, there is a charging cable included this time, along with a headset body and two other ear caps of different sizes.

The Redmi AirDots 3 comes in three highly appealing color options including star blue, vitality powder, and magnolia white. The blue color version looks more textured as compared to the previous black variant.

Moreover, the AirDots 3 charging box is fat and looks more rounded, unlike the previous generation. Since it is not very big, it can be easily put inside the trouser pocket.

The charging box has two upgrades. First off, it has a front-mounted charging indicator, and secondly, there is a Type-C interface at the back.

The charging indicator enables the user to keep track of the remaining power of the charging box, according to the lighting situation. The white light goes out when it is full, it flashes slowly five times when the power is less than 30 percent and goes off completely when the power is less than 5 percent.

Inside the charging box, the earphone body now has the frosted material, which looks smoother. A new button that allows you to reset or quickly connect has also been added.

It will be more convenient for those using a Xiaomi or Redmi phone. As soon as you open the earphone box, a pop-up box will appear.

You can effortlessly connect, and the power of the earphone and the charging box is also easily visible.

Sound is the main focus of the upgrade. Keeping in line with that, the AirDots 3 has been equipped with dual-coil units, two high-resolution sound units, high-frequency moving iron, and a low-frequency moving coil. It packs Qualcomm 3040 chip, an upgraded Bluetooth 5.2, and comes with aptX Adaptive decoding support.

The previous button control has also been upgraded to touch control, minimizing the pressure on the ears during operation. To pause or play music, all you need to do is to tap the right ear twice. You can wake up the voice assistant switch songs, adjust the volume, and more by tapping the left ear twice.

The earphone features a high-precision infrared light sensor, which pauses the music when the earphone is removed and the playback is continued after putting it on.

According to the official description, you can listen to music for 7 hours, make phone calls for 5 hours when the earphone is fully charged. With a 600mAh charging box, the battery life increases to about 30 hours.

The Redmi AirDots 3 costs 199 yuan. You can follow this link to get your hands on the new wireless earbuds for just $36.99 from Giztop. You can choose between white, blue, and pink color options.
