Xiaomi launched two new budget smartphones on Tuesday, the Redmi 9A and Redmi 9C. We have already covered the details of the Redmi 9A smartphone and now let’s take a look at the 9C that stands between Redmi 9A and Redmi 9.
The Redmi 9C is priced at RM 429(~$100) in Malaysia for the sole variant with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. It will be available to purchase in three attractive color variants – the Blue, Black, and Orange. The first sale will begin by the end of July.
Redmi 9C Smartphone Specifications
The entry-level smartphone powers the latest MediaTek Helio G35 octa-core chipset. It is the same chipset boarded in the competitor Realme C11 that launch earlier today. Anyways, the chipset is paired with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage. It has a MicroSD card slot for additional storage.

It sports a 6.53-inch display with an HD+ resolution. It is a dot-notch display with a 20:9 aspect ratio. The display is claimed to be fairly bright with narrow bezels. It sports a square-shaped camera module holding the 13MP primary lens, 5MP ultra-wide lens, and third 2MP unit for depth sensing. It has a 5MP front camera for selfie images.
The device has a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and also has a face unlock option for security. It has a massive 5,000mAh battery without any sort of fast charging support. It is a dual-SIM smartphone that runs on Android 10 and has MIUI 11 on top of it.
