Earlier this year, Xiaomi’s Redmi launched the Redmi 9C smartphone in the European market and it came with mid-range specs but lacked NFC support. According to rumors, Redmi was said to launch two Redmi 9C devices, an NFC model, and a Non-NFC model. Now, the details of the yet to launch NFC model has been outed online.
Thanks to tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore, it is now known that the smartphone will be priced in the budget segment. It will be a bit higher than the pricing of the non-NFC variant. The smartphone is said to start at EUR 129 for the 2GB RAM + 32GB storage variant and EUR 149 for the 3GB RAM + 64GB storage variant.
To recall, the non-NFC model started at EUR 119 for the base model and EUR 139 for the higher configuration model. Therefore, buyers need to pay EUR10 extra for getting NFC support.
Additionally, the smartphone will debut in three color variants – Black, Blue, and Orange. These are the same colorways as the non-NFC variant. With that said, some of the specs should also be similar. We expect it to come powered by the MediaTek Helio G35 SoC and pack a massive 5,000mAh battery. The display should be a 6.53-inch HD+ panel and rock a similar design. The cameras could be different, we would wait for the company to officially speak a word on the same.
