Xiaomi’s Redmi 9A smartphone is already available in certain regions but it’s still yet to land in one of the company’s major market India. Now, the Indian variant has bagged Wi-Fi Alliance certification hinting for a launch sooner than expected.
The certification confirms that the Indian variant will come with MIUI 12 based on Android 10 OS. For those who are unaware, none of the Redmi devices come with MIUI 12 out of the box but the Indian variant of the Redmi 9A will come with the latest UI pre-installed.
Other than this, the basic details are learned such as the 2.4Ghz frequency bands Wi-Fi and the Indian model number – M2006C3LI. The smartphone is expected to come with the same specs as Chinese variants and with that said, let’s take a look at the specs of the Chinese and Malaysian variants.
The Redmi 9A is an entry-level smartphone that features a 6.53-inch IPS LCD display with a Full-HD+ panel resolution. It has a 13-megapixel single-rear camera setup and a 5-megapixel selfie camera.
