Xiaomi’s Redmi 9 was launched in Spain and Malaysia starting at a price tag of $117. It was later introduced to the domestic market China on pre-sale, now, the official sale date and pricing of the smartphone has been confirmed in China.
According to a teaser poster shared online, the Redmi 9 smartphone will go up for sale on June 30 in the Chinese market. It will start from CNY 799(~$113) for the base variant with 4GB RAM + 64GB storage. The 4GB RAM + 128GB storage variant will go on sale for CNY 999(~$141) and the top variant with 6GB RAM + 128GB storage(China-exclusive) will be available for CNY 1,199(~$169).
The smartphone will arrive in Four color variants(translated from Chinese to English) – Carbon Black, Lotus Powder, Neon Blue, and Black Ink.
Redmi 9 Smartphone Specifications
The Redmi 9 sports a 6.53-inch water-drop notch display with a resolution of FHD+. It is an upgrade from the HD+ panel on the predecessor Redmi 8. The smartphone features a Quad-camera array consisting og a 13-megapixel primary lens. Other lenses will be an 8-megapixel wide-angle, 5-megapixel macro lens, and 2-megapixel depth sensor. At the front, the notch holds an 8-megapixel selfie snapper.
Inside, it powers the MediaTek Helio G80 SoC paired with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. It is backed up by a massive 5,020mAh battery with 18W fast charging technology. It has a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and MIUI based on Android 10.
