Just last week, Redmi launched the Redmi 9 smartphone in Spain in two variants – 3GB RAM/32GB storage and 4GB RAM/64GB storage. Being a budget smartphone 4GB RAM is enough for plenty of tasks, but leaks point out that Redmi will bring a higher 6GB RAM variant in the Chinese market.
A new TENAA listing reveals the presence of a 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant. The device spotted was spotted with the M2004J19C model number which is the Chinese model number, the global variant being M2004J19G. This confirms that the top variant will arrive first in its domestic market China.
The listing also confirms multiple color variants from which three are new ones. There’s Black, Green, Pink, White, Red, and Blue; the Pink, White, and Red being new ones.
Redmi 9 Smartphone Specifications
The Redmi 9 budget smartphone features a 6.53-inch IPS LCD display with an FHD+ resolution. It is a water-drop notch screen with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio.
There is a Quad-camera setup on the smartphone with a 13-megapixel primary camera. It is accompanied by another an 8-megapixel lens, third 5-megapixel macro lens, and last 2-megapixel depth sensor. It bags an 8-megapixel selfie camera the front.
It powers the MediaTek Helio G80 chipset paired with a base 3GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable storage. It has a 5,020mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging. The device runs on Android 10 out of the box and has MIUI on top of it.
It also has a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and face unlock for security. It has a 3.5mm headphone jack and a USB Type-C port for charging and data transfer.
