The Redmi 10X 5G only launched a couple of days ago, but it’s already hitting some very respectable sales records in that short time. The device has managed to sell 100 million yuan worth of units during its first sale, and it achieved this milestone in a mere 5 minutes!
This definitely shows the sheer appeal of a more affordable 5G smartphone on the market, as only the 5G variant of the device has sold out. The more affordable 4G variants of the Redmi 10X are still available for purchase right now, while only the 5G model has completely sold out.

It’s really no surprise that the device is popular, especially considering how it’s the world’s smartphone with the MediaTek Dimensity 820 5G chipset. On top of that, the device features a 6.57-inch Samsung 1080p+ AMOLED display and it even has an in-display fingerprint sensor.
These are some truly excellent sales figures for a brand new device in 2020, and we really hope other companies are taking notes as to what’s being done here. We’d like to see a bit more competition in the affordable 5G market pretty soon.
