Realme GT 5G Launch Scheduled For March 4 In China

    Realme’s upcoming Race smartphone was in the tease-spree for a while affirming its existence in the Chinese market. The smartphone was later said to be launched after the Chinese New Year which is already over. Well, just today, the company confirmed that the smartphone which was teased with the codename ‘Race’ will now debut as Realme GT 5G on March 4 in China.

    The company has scheduled the launch event for 2 PM China time and along with the standard variant, reports hint for leather and glass edition phones.

    While some of the details of the smartphone are already up in the news, the poster hints at some of its highlights. It hints over the chipset and fast charging and the big battery inside the Realme GT 5G smartphone. Well, there isn’t anything else to acknowledge, therefore, let’s take a look at what we know so far.

    One of the major highlights of the smartphone will be the new and powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset. The new octa-core SoC has been seen in some of the newly launched flagships and considering the Realme GT to fuel the same, it will be a great competitor in the market.

    The smartphone was spotted on TENAA with RMX2202 code affirming it to have 12GB of RAM and 256GB on onboard storage. Aside from this, the smartphone is speculated to feature a 120Hz high refresh rate OLED panel. It is also said that there could be a special edition phone with a whopping 160Hz refresh rate OLED panel.

    As hinted in the poster, the smartphone is expected to have a battery with crazy 125W UltraDart fast charging technology. In terms of the optics, it will have a vertical rear camera module with a 64MP primary lens. At the front, it will have a single camera system. The smartphone will come with an in-display scanner and was seen running on Android 11.

    The smartphone will hit the shelves in China next month and soon is expected to land in the Indian and European markets.
