After unveiling the Poco M2 Pro last month, the company has now officially launched the vanilla Poco M2 in the Indian market. The all-new Poco M2 is nothing but a rebranded version of the Redmi 9 Prime. Its major highlights are quadruple cameras, Helio G80, and a massive battery.
The Poco M2 Pro is priced at ₹10,999(~$149) for the 6GB RAM + 64GB variant and ₹12,499(~$170) for the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant. It has arrived in Brisk Red, Pitch Black, and Slate Blue color variants, and all the finishes are frosted/Matte. It will go on sale from September 15 via Flipkart in India.

Poco M2 Smartphone Specifications
The budget smartphone has a 6.53-inch IPS LCD display with a Full-HD+ resolution. It is a water-drop notch panel with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The smartphone has an 8-megapixel camera at the front for selfies. At the rear, the device flaunts the quadruple-camera setup placed vertically. It consists of a 13-megapixel primary lens, another 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, a third 5-megapixel macro camera, and a 2-megapixel depth-sensing lens.
It is powered by the same MediaTek Helio G80 SoC as seen in the recently launched Redmi 9 Prime. It has 6GB of sole RAM variant and an option to choose between 64GB or 128GB of storage. The storage is expandable via the microSD card slot fitted along with the dual-SIM slots.
The 4G handset packs a 5,000mAh battery with a support for 18W fast charging technology. There is a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and also has a support for software-based face unlock. The device runs on Android 10 and has MIUI 12 on top of it. Interestingly, the smartphone is water splash-resistant, thanks to the P2i coating.
