Poco will be launching its cheapest smartphone ever, the Poco M2 in the Indian market. Earlier the company launched the Poco M2 Pro under INR 20,000 and now the vanilla M2 smartphone will debut at an even cheaper price. The device is scheduled to launch on September 8 but ahead of the unveiling some of its specs have been teased.
The new teasers confirm that the entry-level smartphone will have a Dot notch display with overall thin bezels. Even though it will be the cheapest device from the company, it will have a Full-HD+ resolution panel.

There will be a quad-rear camera with three placed in a vertical alignment whereas the fourth lens placed along with the LED flash. The rear cameras will be boosted by AI and it will also have a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. It is also confirmed that the device will come with a 6GB of RAM and is expected to have 64GB of storage.

These specs look similar to some other device in the market and it is mainly because the upcoming Poco M2 is said to be the rebranded version of the Redmi 9 Prime(Redmi 9 Global) that launched last month. The rebranding hints that it could have all the specs similar to that of the Redmi 9 Prime such as the massive 5,020mAh battery and the Helio G80 SoC.
Considering that the Redmi 9 Prime costs INR 9,999(~$133) for the base variant we can expect the M2 smartphone from Poco to be priced somewhere near.
