Poco has launched a new smartphone in the Indian market. It is the much-awaited budget smartphone the Poco M2 Pro. The smartphone comes with mid-range SoC with Quad-cameras. It is a rebranded version of Redmi Note 9 Pro that comes at a cheaper rate.
The Poco M2 Pro starts at ₹13,999(~$187) for 4GB + 64GB variant, 6GB + 64GB variant will cost ₹14,999(~200), and the top variant with 6GB + 128GB variant is priced at ₹16,999(~$227). It has arrived in three dual-tone colorways – Two Shades of Black, Out of the Blue, and Green and Greener.
It will go on sale soon in India via the Flipkart shopping portal.
Poco M2 Pro Smartphone Specifications
The Poco M2 Pro sports a massive 6.67-inch hole-punch display with an FHD+ resolution. It is an LCD panel with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection and thin bezels. In terms of cameras, it has the same quad-camera setup as well as the design as the Redmi Note 9 Pro.
It carries a 48-megapixel primary camera accompanied by an 8-megapixel wide-angle lens. It has a 5-megapixel third lens, and the last 2-megapixel sensor. At the front, the smartphone features a 16-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies.
Powering the smartphone is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G octa-core SoC paired with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The storage is expandable via a microSD card slot. The dual-SIM handset packs a massive 5,020mAh battery with 33W fast charging support and surprisingly, the fast charger will be bundled with the device.
It has all a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and also has software-based face unlock. It has IR Blaster, 3.5mm headphone jack, and USB Type-C port for charging and data transfer. It runs on POCO’s custom UI based on Android 10 out of the box.
