POCO F2 appears on SIRIM, could launch in Malaysia soon

As the rumour mill surrounding the POCO F2 begins to churn again, the web remains rife speculatively on when the successor to the brand’s 2018 flagship is going to be making its debut. If recent news is to be believed, it might be happening sooner rather than later.

After a search on Malaysia’s SIRIM database, a device with the model number M2004J11G was listed on the page, under the name of Xiaomi Malaysia. The listing doesn’t list down any specific details, but we do get to know that it’ll be a smartphone with 5G. What’s important, though, is that a fast look for the model number points to the device being the long-awaited POCO F2.

Again, there’s still no official information about the POCO F2’s specs, not even its camera. The most recent announcement from the brand came in the form of  a tweet via its official account, with only the words “POCO is back”. The post also came with several promotional images, one among which hinted that the 2nd generation POCO device will have a full screen display, free from notches and punch holes.

We’re also still within the dark about when precisely the Xiaomi sub-brand are going to be launching the phone. But, as we said, it’s likely that the launch will happen sometime within the subsequent few months. Of course, this is all just speculation, so we do suggest that you don’t simply hang on our every word on the matter.
