Oppo seems to be working on a new smartphone for the budget segment. The phone carries the model number CPH2219 and has 4G connectivity. To remind, the same phone with 5G connectivity was seen doing rounds in the rumor mill. Last time it was called the Oppo A74 5G and the one seen now is probably the 4G edition.
The Oppo A74 4G has made it to the Geekbench listing revealing key specs. The handset has scored 306 single-core points and 1042 multi-core points on the Geekbench 5. The device runs on Android 11 out of the box.
The listing reveals its chipset to be codenamed as ‘bengal’ which is a Qualcomm processor with a 1.80Ghz base frequency. Sources suggest that it is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 budget SoC. It is paired with 6GB of RAM and we expect it to have 64GB or 128GB of onboard storage.
Aside from this, Oppo has scheduled a launch event for its upcoming Oppo F19 smartphone in the Indian market. Before it launches, Nepal’s Oppo website has already listed the handset with its full specs. Interestingly, the phone has the same model number as the Oppo A74 4G i.e. ‘CPH2219’.
It seems like the upcoming Oppo A74 4G is a rebranded version of Oppo F19. If that’s the case, the phone is expected to have an FHD+ OLED panel similar to the F19 smartphone. It may also pack a vertical triple camera array featuring a 48MP main lens and two 2MP sensors. The device might also have a big 5,000mAh battery with some sort of fast charging support.
