Oppo A72 5G is Oppo’s next 5G mid-range smartphone and it was recently listed on a Chinese portal revealing its design and specs. Now, the 5G handset has appeared on Geekbench certification affirming some bits.
The device has appeared on Geekbench with model number Oppo PDYM20 that runs on the latest Android 10. It has a MediaTek board and powers the MT6853 octa-core SoC. To recall, the same chipset was confirmed earlier on the Chinese website.
It is said to be the MediaTek Dimensity 720 chipset which is yet to be announced. The smartphone is paired with 8GB of RAM which we expect will be the top variant. It scored 513 single-core points and 1659 multi-core points on the Geekbench 5.
Other than this, the previous leak revealed a 6.5-inch punch-hole display with an FHD+ resolution. It will feature a 16MP + 8MP + 2MP triple rear camera setup and an 8MP single front camera setup. It was listed on the Chinese website with a 4,040mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging.
Oppo hasn’t spoken a word on its debut but with these leaks and listings, we expect the smartphone to launch in the next couple of weeks.
