Oppo was said to launch a budget device in the Chinese market with 5G connectivity. It was spotted on several listings and later is was believed to be Oppo A92 5G being a younger sibling to the Oppo A92s 5G that launched earlier this year. But now it looks like it is not the case as a new leak suggests that it might be called the Oppo A72 5G smartphone and now some of its specs and pricing are allegedly leaked.
Oppo A72 5G Pricing and Colorways
The Oppo A72 5G smartphone was listed on a Chinese website revealing its pricing and internals. Let’s get the pricing out of the way and then we’ll take a look at the specs. The smartphone is listed in three variants and the base variant with 4GB/64GB is priced at CNY 1,699(~$243), the 6GB/64GB is priced at CNY 1,799(~$257), and the 8GB/128GB is priced at CNY 1,999(~$286).
Aside from that, the smartphone’s color variant has also been showcased. According to the website, there will be three colorways – Neon Purple, Oxygen Purple, and Black. These are alleged listed pricing which means there isn’t any surety of it being legit, therefore, let’s just take theses prices as a hint.
Listed Specifications of the Smartphone
The website also reveals the specs, it will be a dual-SIM handset with 5G connectivity. The listing reveals a 6.5-inch LCD display with a resolution of Full-HD+. It seems to have a hole-punch screen with thin bezels.
It has a triple rear camera with 16MP primary, 8MP ultra-wide, and 2MP tertiary lens. It has an 8MP front-facing camera for selfies. There is a MediaTek MT6853V SoC with a 4,040mAh battery and 18W fast charging technology. It is a side-facing fingerprint scanner and runs on ColorOS based on Android 10.
These specs do match with the past listings, but the pricing is a bit doubtful. Anyways, the smartphone is expected to get unveiled on July 31 in China where we will learn all of its details.
