Oppo has officially launched a new budget smartphone dubbed Oppo A53 in the Indian market. The smartphone was first launched in Indonesia and now it has made way in India at an affordable price. Its major highlights are 90Hz display, new Snapdragon 460 SoC, and big battery.
The Oppo A53 starts at INR 12,990(~$175) for the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant and INR 15,490(~$208) for the 6GB + 128GB variant. The smartphone is available in Fancy Blue and Electric Black. To recall, the device came at a similar price range and same color variants in the Indonesian market.
Oppo A53 Smartphone Specifications
The budget smartphone is first to ship with the new Snapdragon 460 budget chipset. It is an octa-core SoC that is paired with either 4GB or 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 64GB or 128GB of internal storage. It houses a big 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support.
It is a 4G handset that features a 90Hz refresh rate panel and thin bezels. The display is a large 6.5-inch IPS HD+ display that has a 20:9 aspect ratio. There are three cameras at the rear and a single camera at the front. Out of the three rear, there is a 16MP primary lens which is said to be enough wide, another 2MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. Boasting a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, it also has software-based Face unlock support.
