OnePlus has finally launched its much-awaited budget smartphone, the OnePlus Nord. It has been in the buzz from the last couple of months and it officially here. The major highlights of the smartphone are the mammoth punch-hole display, Quad-cameras, and Snapdragon 765G SoC.
The OnePlus Nord is starts at ₹24,999(~$335) for the 6GB RAM + 64GB storage variant, ₹27,999(~$376) for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant, and ₹29,999(~$403) for the maxed out variant with 12GB RAM + 256GB storage. European pricing starts at EUR 399 and EUR 499 for two of the top variants. It comes in Blue Marble and Gray Onyx colorways but the top and the base variant will retail in only the Gray Onyx finish. The base variant will go on sale later in September, while the top two variants will go up for sale on August 4.
OnePlus Nord Smartphone Specifications and Highlights
The OnePlus’ Nord is the company’s new beginning as it is once again trying to enter the budget segment after OnePlus X’s failed attempt. The Nord comes with premium features that are said to offer a better experience in the budget smartphone market. It sports a 6.44-inch Fluid AMOLED display with a Full-HD+ resolution. It has a 90Hz refresh rate screen and has Gorilla Glass 5 protection.
In terms of optics, the device gets a Quad-camera setup at the rear consisting of a 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 main camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, third 2-megapixel macro lens, and fourth 5-megapixel depth sensor. It is worth noting that the primary camera is the same as the one found on the OnePlus 8 flagship smartphone. At the front, it has a dual-camera setup comprising of a 32-megapixel Sony IMX616 sensor and an 8-megapixel wide-angle lens.

Under the roof, it is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G chipset coupled with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of non-expandable storage. There is a base variant just for the Indian market that comes with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage. To fuel the system, it has a 4,115mAh battery with Warp Charge 30T.
It is a 5G handset with dual-SIM and stereo speaker setup. It has an In-display fingerprint scanner and software-based face unlock for security. It runs on smooth OxygenOS and has Android 10 out of the box.
