With the OnePlus 8T launch on the verge, OnePlus is lowering its current and old flagship phone prices. Just recently, the company lowered the price of the year-old OnePlus 7T Pro in India, and now, the new OnePlus 8 series has received a price cut in the global market.
OnePlus 8, which started at $699 for the 8GB RAM + 128GB variant will now retail for $599. The OnePlus 8 Pro, which was launched at a price of $899 has also received a price cut and will now be sold for $799. These price cuts are limited to the global market and its unfortunately not available in two of the OnePlus’ major markets – India and China.
The new pricing will bring the OnePlus 8 series in-line with the newly launched Samsung Galaxy S20 FE. If we compare, the Galaxy S20 FE offers Snapdragon 865 and 120Hz refresh rate display for $699, whereas, with the new price cut, the $599 OnePlus 8 offers the same chipset with a 90hz refresh rate panel. If you go a bit higher to $799 then the Pro model offers some identical specs to the Galaxy FE.
