    Built Quality and Design

    Starting with the new offering, the RedMagic 6R comes with a plastic back and aluminum on the sides providing a solid built quality. On the other hand, the Black Shark 4 Pro is built out of the glass at the front and the back with aluminum framing on the sides.     Coming to the display, both phones sport large 6.67-inch AMOLED panels with Full-HD+ resolution and 144Hz refresh rate. The aspect ratio and pixel density on both the phones is the same – 20:9 and 395 PPI. What differs significantly is how bright the screen looks.

    The RedMagic is limited to 770 nits of peak brightness, whereas, the Black Shark has 1300 nits of peak brightness. The Black also excels in the touch sampling rate with its 720Hz over the 360Hz touch sampling rate on the RedMagic.

    Cameras on the Phones

    Although the RedMagic 6R has quad-rear camera system, the triple rear cameras on the Black Shark Pro can be materialized the same. Except for an additional 2MP depth sensor, the other sensors on the phones remain the same – 64MP main sensor, 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 5MP macro sensor.

    Both phone can record 4k videos at 60fps and 1080p videos at up to 240fps. The Black Shark 4 wins in the selfie camera, thanks to its 20MP selfie lens over the 16MP found on the RedMagic 6R.

    Hardware, Fast Charging, and Essentials

    Under the roof, the duo powers the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset(5nm) paired with up to 12GB of RAM on the RedMagic and 16GB of RAM on the Black Shark. The Black Shark also has 512GB UFS 3.1 max storage over the 256GB UFS 3.1 in the RedMagic.

    The User interface on both phones is aggressively tweaked towards game users. The 6R has Redmagic 4.0 based on Android 11 over the Joy UI 12.5 backed by Android 11 on the Black Shark 4 Pro.

    There’s a 4,500mAh battery inside the Black Shark 4 Pro that comes with whopping 120W fast charging support. The RedMagic 6R, on the the other hand, houses a 4,200mAh battery with 55W fast charging support(Chinese edition).

    One major highlight of the RedMagic 6R is the in-display fingerprint scanner over the side-mounted sensor on the Black Shark 4 Pro.

    In terms of audio, the Black Shark offers a 3.5mm headphone jack and stereo speakers out of which the headphone jack lacks in the Red Magic 6R.
