Back in April this year, Nubia unveiled its mid-range gaming smartphone the Nubia Play 5G. The smartphone was Nubia’s expansion to its gaming smartphone segment in the Chinese market. Now, a new report suggests that the device is expected to arrive soon in the global market with Red Magic 5G Lite branding.
The leak reveals the documentation from the Eurasian Economic Commission(EEC) that confirms the smartphone’s naming to be Red Magic 5G Lite. Additionally, we also have a look at the certification from the Global Certification Forum(GCF) that also showcases the same device.
All this could mean that the smartphone’s launch is in the pipeline. The company hasn’t spoken a word about it but we expect it to break the silence soon.
Other than this, the Nubia Red Magic 5G was launched globally this year and the Lite model will just arrive with some hardware changes and targeted to the mid-range segment.
The flagship Red Magic 5G gaming smartphone came with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC and 144Hz gaming-ready display. With the Red Magic 5G Lite, Nubia is powering Snapdragon 765G with a 144Hz refresh rate panel.
