New Mi Band 4 NFC Makes Surprise Appearance in Russia

The Xiaomi Mi Band 5 is launching on June 11th, but there’s apparently still room for the Mi Band 4 to shine before that. An NFC variant of the fitness band reportedly appeared on Xiaomi Russia’s Mi Store, and it’s going to go on sale starting June 16.

Xiaomi has made a point out of how it’s a new fitness band, and as such it comes with a new price tag. The NFC Mi Band 4 comes in at 3,990 rubles ($58), which is a bit higher than the standard Mi Band 4’s price tag of 2,990 rubles ($44).

With this, Mi Band 4 users can now make contactless payments via their Mi Bands, though it can only be linked to a Mastercard for now. We have heard that support for other popular methods of payment like Visa, Google Pay, and PayPal will be coming to the Mi Band 4 NFC soon enough.
