Earlier today a budget Motorola smartphone was spotted on Geekbench revealing its key specs. The device is said to be called the Motorola Ibiza but the launch date and availability were yet to be known. Now just a few hours before, the famous Indian tipster Mukul Sharma has revealed the availability of the phone while hinting at some more specs.
According to the tipster, the Motorola Ibiza will be official in February in the Indian market. The phone is touted to be a budget 5G handset that could pack a 90hz refresh rate panel. It will be an IPS LCD panel with HD+ resolution.
Some documents revealed that the phone will fuel the Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 chipset paired with 6GB of RAM. It runs on Android 11 out of the box and is expected to have Moto actions on top of it. If we take a look at its Geekbench scores, the phone has scored 2,466 single-core points and 6,223 multi-core points on the Geekbench 4.

In related news, the company is also said to propel two new budget phones with the codename ‘Capri’ and ‘Capri Plus’. The vanilla model is said to pack Snapdragon 460 chipset while the Plus model will power the Snapdragon 662 budget SoC. Unlike the upcoming Motorola Ibiza, these two devices will be 4G handsets running on Android 11.

More specifications of the Capri series were also revealed earlier. The Capri Plus will have a 90Hz display with HD+ resolution and the vanilla Capri will have an HD+ 60Hz panel. There will be 64MP triple rear cameras on the Plus and a 48MP triple rear camera system on the Capri. Both of the devices are expected to have big batteries with some sort of fast charging support.
Motorola is yet to officially announce the launch dates of these phones but as the Motorola Ibiza is touted to land as early as this month in the Indian market, we can expect the Capri phones to be in the line next.
